i am writing to protest at the way scientists use animals for cruel experiment . say scientists that these experiments are conducted for benefit of mankind' . but there is no argument which can satisfy the unnecessary suffering inflicted animals .and further scientists know very well that most of thier experiments on animals can benefit no one. indeed some experiments like grafting second head onto a living creature , are so grosteque that they diminish the dignity of man.
Animals are abused and exploited ,yet -without realising it, they can only depend on us for protection . if we don't protect them , who will? if you saw a man beating a dog ,you would be shocked and angry .but the scientists perform all kinds of unspeakable horrors in the privacy of his laboratory in the name of research .
it's time animals were allowed to enjoy the gift of life as much as we are and they will only do so when scientific experiments are banned for ever . BY JOHN WALTON
